I watched the video twice. I decided to do some brief untimed writing about it, because the video gave me the sensation of something both planned, and unplanned.
moment captured, exposure, blank honesty, a question, devise, a plan, expose slowly, reveal, unveil, smoker to share, shyness, between my selves, underneath, a pose, breathing, quality, juxtapose the indoor and outdoor setting, sitting, wherever, a studio time/ space. suspension, green eyes, and thick lashes. hiding feet. cold floor. skitter. open. time spans itself. here with me now. taken. space between alone. today. yesterday.

Darby Creek
Image/Body/Landscape Field Trip
May 1, 2007
Phrases engendered by Cris, Leann, Leusa, Barbara and Norah on the way home:
Expert navigator women
Junk food on road trips
Creamy milkshake heaven
Slurpy sounds through straws
Layers of complexity through the forest
Body, image and a whole lot of landscape
External landscape
Playful
Uneven terrain
Egrets in the water
Submerged
Feet in cool water
Slippery mud through the toes
Taking the path less traveled
Moss covered rocks
Climbing on all fours
Slip slide and fall kersplash
Sheets automotive and mechanic
Tool and die company
Church of God
Creative child care
Starbright trailer Park
I thought the Bible belt was further south.
COANS: one sentence that captures the essence of something or someone.
Pretty in pink, hem skimming the water: Cris
Fearing crawfish, two feet planted over the watery divide: Herb
Observer on the bank recalling childhood: Leann
Mermaid on a rock, mushing in the moss: Leusa
Wading with walking sticks, fording the oxen: Zak and Peter
Solitary, far and quiet, one with the rock under her feet: Zuzana

Batelle Derby Creek
I must say that today was one of the best times I have had in a long time, and I want to thank everyone for sharing it with me. I wish it could have lasted longer, or could happen more often, but since these things inevitably can not happen I am glad for the time had. It was really nice to interact with everyone outside of a structured classroom setting, and I felt I learned alot more about everyone from this experience.
I love play it keeps you young, and doesnt happen enough.

from our discussion
All the things we talked about:
going to marion prairie on tues... drawing names and creating a word association bio for that person... maybe sending this and an item that is important to that person in a snail mail package (this would arrive at the completion of the project)... giving them the address to our blog so they can see what we have been doing and/or creating a blog with them... i think that was everything...
